INCLUSIVE

PLAY

PROJECT

SIA's Inclusive Play Project powered by AT&T is an initiative to help students understand the importance of accessibility through a game design lens. Through SIA's custom curriculum and level editor program, students are invited to consider how people with disabilities might interact with their favorite video games in order to explore ways of not just building more inclusive video games, but also building a more inclusive society as a whole.

The curriculum encourages students to exercise skills in empathy while educating them about the large portion of our society (20%) who have some sort of disability. Participants will also have the chance to play our level editor program that allows them to put their new knowledge into practice and design a game that takes into account the principles of inclusion and accessibility taught by the curriculum.

SIA is pleased to offer the curriculum and accompanying level editor program thanks to the generous support of AT&T.
